Apple Cider Vinegar – cringe worthy or a super(drink)

Inspiration

The first time you drink apple cider vinegar you either love it and accept it or think youre going to throw up and use some not so pleasant words to describe it.

IApple-cider-vinegar-1024x1024 remember the first time I had it,  I didn’t actually know how much you were supposed to drink, so I happily poured half a cup of neat, undiluted apple cider vinegar into my favourite mug and proceeded to neck it! ughhhh! Awful!

Anyway, I did stick to it, and researched how much I was supposed to have – turns out one to two teaspoons a day is plenty

Now I start my mornings with a teaspoon and a half of Bragg (its a brand) pure unfiltered apple cider vinegar, a teaspoon of honey and half a cup of hot water.

Below are some of the many benefits of this incredible liquid!

  1. It can aid weight loss! 🙂 acetic acid which is the main ingredient of apple cider vinegar has been found to reduce body fat, abdominal fat/ waist circumference.
  2. It can help you detox. research has shown that it stimulates circulation and helps detoxify the liver – perfect after that heavy night out!
  3. Its awesome for heartburn. it may seem strange to treat acidity with an acid containing vinegar but herbal remedy experts say you should feel relief after taking just one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar followed by a glass of water.
  4. Skin cleanser – from the inside! this is my personal favourite reason for consuming apple cider vinegar daily. having suffered from eczema for a number of years, I feel apple cider vinegar helps to clear up eczema breakouts and also prevents them from occurring. It is possibly due to its detoxifying properties. highly recommended for acne too.
  5. Apple cider vinegar has also been found to help with sore throat, the common cold and migraines. taken two to three times a day when suffering from any of these ailments with a sprinkling of cinnamon and turmeric it provides an excellent immunity boost.

      haha! start with less and then you can increase the amount you put in the water. or have a whole mug full of water to dilute it more.

    I have heard it also helps with joint aches and pains?

      I cant confirm that but I have heard the same. I guess there are a lot of people who have been drinking apple cider for a number of years to great benefit.
